L’UniThéâtre offers theatre workshops in schools.
in alberta's francophone and french immersion schools
Our 45- to 90-minute workshops are presented in your school by professional artists and are adapted to your student’s grade and experience level. In order to maximize quality, workshops are intended for groups of 20 students. If you intend on having a group larger than 20 students, please note that the workshop will need to be adapted to the size and the quality of the participants’ experience will be affected. These workshops are offered starting at $150 + GST. Additional fees are added to cover travel costs when workshops take place more than 100km away from La Cité francophone (8627 91 street, Edmonton.)
How does one create an interesting character for a play? Thanks to acting, improvisation, physical expression, writing, and drawing exercises, students will learn to create dynamic characters for the stage.
In this workshop, students will work together to create a show to share with their peers through acting, improvisation, physical expression, and staging exercises.
For those interested in or new to theatre, we explore basic notions of movement. Students will be able to find an authentic and relaxed stage presence by learning breathing and relaxation techniques as well as Laban exercises.
This workshop is intended to give students the tools to strengthen their voice in a healthy manner as they prepare for a performance and/or speech. Through playful vocal warmups, stretches, games, and tongue-twisters, participants are able to let loose while they discover their individual voices.
